I was born in Japan in 1995, but raised in Peru since 1996. With a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and two Post graduate certificate in UX - UI Design and Digital Marketing and Communcations.
Throughout my professional career, I have gained an appreciation for the complexity of understanding user needs. While many people view UX as only web or app design, I believe it encompasses so much more. In fact, UX is the foundation and the "end" of every project, as we must continually find innovative solutions to provide excellent products and services.
I possess a diverse skill set encompassing user experience design (UX) with rapid prototyping, MVP projects, wireframing, usability testing, responsive websites, and user interface design (UI) adhering to WCAG and AODA standards. My expertise also extends to human-centered design, and I am well-versed in Agile methodology, specifically Scrum.
My experience working with prestigious companies such as Interbank and Liquid Agency has helped me propose quick solutions with a strong focus on user experience.
Previously, I worked as a UX/UI Designer at Treehouse, a company based in Ottawa that specialized in Digital Maternal & Women's Health where it allowed me to contribute to the development of new website features and provided me with hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and user interface design.
I have also experience working as a UX Writer for the City of Kingston where I have successfully enhanced the website content to ensure clear communication, accessibility following the WCAG guideliness and AODA, and improved user experience.
Aside from my professional pursuits, I have also founded a small soap company called "Victoria Vera" and showcase my miniature food sculptures on Instagram under the name "Espacio Miniatura."
