The Challenge

The Laive S.A. Company sought our expertise to enhance and devise a novel mobile application tailored for their third-party vendors. Although they possessed an existing mobile app that fulfilled the fundamental criteria, they expressed a desire to continuously augment it with new features, striving towards greater intuitiveness and less manual intervention. Before releasing the first version of the product, we conducted in-depth research and rigorous usability testing to ensure optimal performance.

Due to the company's privacy policy, I will not be able to present a deep case study.

The Goal

Our goal was to create a user-friendly mobile app for vendors that would enable them to track daily objectives, locate clients, manage client information, search and add products, create and send invoices, and more.

The Process

Our design process began with a thorough research phase where our Design Leader collaborated closely with the client to gain a deep understanding of their requirements, touchpoints, and objectives. Armed with this information, my colleague and I worked together to develop an initial workflow that served as a starting point for further iterations and refinements. As we continued to gather feedback and insights, the workflow evolved and improved over time.

Wireframes

Next, we proceeded with the wireframing phase, during which we encountered some challenges due to the client's evolving ideas and objectives. Additionally, as we provided "medium fidelity wireframes," the client expressed a desire to be more involved in the design process, which resulted in some delays. Ultimately, we delivered black and white wireframes that were tested using Marvel App with vendors and distributors..

Usability Testing

We conducted multiple user tests using the Marvel App to gather feedback and insights from the client, vendors, and supervisors. These tests were conducted on a weekly basis for each version of the app leading up to its launch. By incorporating their feedback into the design process, we were able to refine the app and ensure its usability met their needs.

Style Guide

Results

As a result of our efforts, the app is now more user-friendly and intuitive for vendors to use. They are able to easily track their tasks and daily goals, as well as gain quick access to a variety of features and tools that help them increase their sales and commissions. Overall, the app has been well-received and has met the client's goals and objectives.

Takeaways

This project highlighted the importance of effective teamwork and collaboration between Liquid and Laive. Although we initially struggled to fully understand the client's objectives, through ongoing communication and collaboration, we were able to gain a deeper understanding of their needs and goals. As a result, we were able to deliver solutions that aligned with their objectives and ultimately resulted in a successful project outcome.
